Geoff Johnson is new to kayaking in 2006 and has been working hard at understanding the basic Standard Roll. He has also been working on increasing his rotational flexibility, so important in coiling and then uncoiling that standard roll. He has now has a really solid standard roll in his own kayak, a 17' Necky Chatham, and is beginning to explore his offside. Note the very positive climbing leading edge of the blade as he sweeps.
