NEW! Winter 2011-12 Pool Sessions at Platt HIgh School, Meriden, Connecticut We are once again offering both drop-in and instructional pool sessions to the kayaking community in Connecticut. Pool rental rates have SKYROCKETED this year in Wallingford as well as several other locations, but Cheri has done some research. made a lot of phone calls and found something we think will work for everyone! Sundays! Jan 8th Feb 5th March 4th Pool hours 8:30-1pm Drop-in - Connyak & Qajaq USA members $25, non-members $30, Folks with dirty kayaks, $500! ;-) Instruction - Kayak Ways LLC will offer instruction, in reserved, one-hour slots, 2 to 1 maximum ratio. Use of a low-volume rolling kayak, Greenland paddle and norsaq, and a tuiliq for the hour, or your own kayak and equipment, plus the additional pool time that day. $120, or, for CONNYAK and QajaqUSA members, $100. (This includes the pool entry fee.) 8:45, 9:45, 10:45 and 11:45 slots are available for hour long lessons. You may, of course, sign up for a two hour slot if you are game! If you are learning to roll, or learning to teach, and just want to watch to pick up pointers, please feel free to observe. The atmosphere will be fun and social!
